Your Credit Union (YCU) is a not-for-profit financial co-operative that is owned and run by its members. It is open to the public serving anyone who lives, works or studies in the Royal Borough of Kensington & Chelsea, Hammersmith & Fulham, Westminster and City of London. Your Credit Union offers a safe and convenient way to save money and provides loans to members at fair rates of interest.
The appointment of a Chief Executive with responsibility for the day to day running and strategic development of the credit union. It is the aim of the board to work efficiently and effectively towards a self-funding position as soon as possible. The new Chief Executive will pick up the explicit brief for building the business to achieve this aim. This will include responsibility for:
- Growing a simple financially sound product base and marketing plan to raise deposits and continue to lend sensibly to the local community.
- Develop YCU’s services and business functions by working with technology providers and other credit union provider partners.
- Manage the team by organizing the workload and developing operating protocols to better service our customers and further develop the skills of our team members.
- Maintain and develop management and compliance structures to ensure the operation of the business in a manner compliant within the standards demanded by the FCA and PRA.
With demonstrable experience in a strategic leadership role (ideally within retail financial institutions) and delivering positive results, the successful individual will be a practical hands-on delivery-focused executive.
