Role Name	Loans Officer
Key Focus/Role Purpose	To effectively manage the end-to-end loan application process in line with the Credit Union’s Loan Policy, ensuring accurate assessment, timely communication with applicants, and efficient processing of loans using the bespoke lending system, while maintaining service quality standards and contributing to continuous improvement efforts across the organization.

Hours	Full time: 35 Hours Monday – Friday

Contract

Duties:

To approve or reject loan applications according to the Loans Policy
To prepare loan applications, review appropriate documentation and liaise with applicants to submit any additional information requirements.
To manage the overall process of loan applications, via our bespoke lending system.
Conducting loan interviews where appropriate, noting and managing risks
To conduct credit searches on loan applicants and review credit reports
To liaise with members and keep them updated with the progress of their loan applications
To pay out approved loans to members
Work to allocated KPI’s

Other Responsibilities:

To be aware of and comply with all Health & Safety regulations as directed by the Manager
To undertake such other reasonable and lawful duties as may be directed from time to time by the Team Leader
